Farm Animal Services
Herd Health - Our veterinarians visit area farms on scheduled Herd Health visits on weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly schedules for reproductive examinations, milk quality evaluation, and preventive health care. Doctors consult with farm personnel regarding appropriate vaccination programs, udder health and mastitis control, calf and heifer management, herd record evaluation and monitoring, and training of farm personnel.
Small Ruminants
Herd Health Assessments - Disease risk management, flock/herd production assessments, nutrition consults and rotational grazing programs, reproduction management, necropsy Wellness exams - including parasite management (fecal examination and de-worming); routine hoof care; annual vaccinations for Rabies, Clostridium C & D (over-eating disease), and Tetanus; and injections of vitamin E and selenium to prevent white muscle disease. Sickness exams - including treatment for meningeal worm, treatment for choke, heat stroke, overeating disease, polioencephalomalacia, listeriosis, and "failure to thrive" syndrome. Surgery - including routine procedures such as dehorning, surgical castrations, fighting teeth trimming, and microchip insertion, as well as more complex situations involving urinary obstructions and fracture repair. Parasite Testing & Consultation - the quantitative McMaster's Test, fecal centrifugation screening, and Baerman lungworm testing are routinely performed at our clinic to guide parasite management decisions (see the Educational Materials - Farm Animals tab). Ultrasound - for small ruminant pregnancy testing can be performed on-farm or at the clinic.

Swine & Pet Pigs - Wellness exams, vaccine programs and parasite control, spay/neuter, hoof trimming, on-farm & in-clinic services available.
